I am going to keep this orderly and save you from the extra bull…
First and foremost: Study Break at 9:00 in the PM Wednesday, October 28th in the Master’s House. Bring down your incandescent light bulbs and exchange them for a more energy efficient and longer lasting CFL light bulb. There will also be sign ups and information on the new Bike-Share program: rent a bike, ride it around, enjoy life, bring cash! Last but not least, Emily and I will be able to answer any of your tray-less dining questions in conjunction with a wonderful dish and bowl carrying workshop to help ease the transition to tray-less dining.
Second: A Technoscrap Bin has been placed in the trash-room beneath entryway F. You can finally recycle CFL light bulbs (gently so they do not break), cell phones, gameboys, iPods, any computer equipment, CDs, any old electronics, watch batteries, lithium batteries, and nickel cadmium batteries. Lastly, you can also recycle alkaline batteries (your typical AA, AAA, etc batteries) but it is absolutely essential that you securely tape both ends of the battery because when they rub together with other batteries they can create sparks and cause fires… which are generally bad things when they occur in buildings and trucks.
Thirdly: Printer cartridge recycling has arrived at Yale! Where? In the post office there is a bin that has been installed for recycling old printer cartridges if you do not wish to mail them back to their companies or have them refilled at Staples.
